Armenia to receive nearly EUR 90 million loan from ADB to support budget

YEREVAN, December 5. /ARKA/. The Asian Development Bank (ADB) will provide Armenia with a EUR 89.47 million loan under the “Fiscal Stability and Financial Markets Development Program. Subprogram 2”.

The corresponding loan agreement, signed by ADB and Armenia on November 1, 2024, was ratified by the Armenian parliament on December 5, 2024.

The funds will be used to cover Armenia’s budget deficit. According to the agreement, the loan must be disbursed by June 30, 2025. The loan repayment period is 15 years with a three-year grace period, with a floating interest rate.

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has invested $1.9 billion in Armenia since its partnership with Armenia began in 2005.-0-
