Armenia hosts the largest wine festival in the region for the fifth time with the support of Acba Bank (VIDEO)

YEREVAN, June 9. /ARKA/. For the fifth time, with the support of Acba Bank, Yerevan is hosting the most anticipated event of the first week of June — the Yerevan Wine Days festival, which tells the world about the unique and thousand-year-old traditions of Armenian winemaking, the bank’s press service reports.

As part of the festival, Saryan, Tumanyan and Moskovyan streets in Yerevan have turned into a festive environment filled with the aroma of Armenian wine and culture, ready to welcome tens of thousands of guests and tourists until June 8.

The sponsor of the Yerevan Wine Days festival together with Acba Bank is the international payment and settlement system Visa. Visitors to the wine festival, having ordered a free digital Visa card at the Acba Bank pavilion (at the intersection of Saryan and Tumanyan streets), can participate in a unique game and receive various gifts.

The main goal of the festival is to introduce the work of Armenian winemakers to the world, as well as to promote the export and presentation of local products at international venues and develop tourism.

“Acba Bank serves hundreds of thousands of customers throughout Armenia through its digital, innovative and secure solutions. This year, the bank is again sponsoring the Yerevan Wine Days festival with the international payment and settlement system Visa, and we are confident that such events contribute to the development of tourism, agriculture and viticulture in our country, as well as open the door to further increasing the recognition of our country at international venues. Acba Bank and the international payment and settlement system Visa offer festival visitors digital and innovative solutions that will allow them to gain new experience,” said Suren Oganesyan, Head of the Branch Management Department of Acba Bank. “Yerevan Wine Days” have become a unique platform where winemakers, wine lovers and the long-standing Armenian wine culture come together. The festival has become a special holiday not only for the residents of Armenia, but also for wine lovers from all over the world, as they know that the largest wine days in the region will be held in Armenia in the first week of June. We are sure that tourists come not only to taste Armenian wine, we have a chain effect, and tourism in Armenia is developing due to this festival. Such events influence the development of the Armenian economy and contribute to the emergence of new tourist routes, the production and export of new types of wine. Acba Bank could not remain indifferent to this. Acba Bank is always at the center of initiatives important for the Armenian economy and for Armenia in general, it is the initiator and active participant,” said Narek Asatryan, Head of Public Relations at Acba Bank. “Cooperation with Acba is an anniversary one, since the “Yerevan Wine Days” festival has been held with its support for the 5th year. We have been holding the festival for 9 years now, which means that more than half of the time we are with Acba, and Acba is with us. This cooperation is of great importance to us, because we were only 3 years old when Acba trusted in us that this is the festival that can have a very positive and important impact on the economy, agriculture, winemaking and tourism of Armenia. Without this cooperation, Yerevan Wine Days would not be what they are today,” said Mary Badalyan, co-founder and director of EventTura.

The bank is controlled by the Central Bank of Armenia. -0-
