Digital dram to be one of the items on the analytical agenda in Armenia – Central Bank Chairman

YEREVAN, June 11. /ARКА/. The digital dram will be one of the items on the analytical agenda in Armenia, said Martin Galstyan, Chairman of the Central Bank of the Republic.

Having reported that discussions are periodically held on this issue with the participation of representatives of the Regulatory Council and the executive branch, he said that there is unanimity on at least one item.

“We have a team that believes that this is not necessary at the moment, since there is a well-functioning payment and settlement system. Others say that this should be done, since the world is moving in this direction. But the consensus of both groups is that this is not the end point,” Galstyan said.

The head of the Central Bank explained that it is necessary to constantly make efforts and spend time to at least be aware of what is happening in the world in the context of digital currency.

“In this regard, we have quite interesting tasks,” he added. -0-
