Armenia’s Deputy Prime Minister discussed potential areas of cooperation with new head of EIB’s regional office in South Caucasus, Stella Renita

YEREVAN, October 31. /ARКА/. Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan discussed Thursday details of current programs and potential new areas of cooperation with the new Head of the European Investment Bank (EIB) Regional Office for the South Caucasus, Stella Renita.

According to the government’s press service, Grigoryan praised the ongoing cooperation with the EIB and emphasized the importance of jointly implemented programs.

He also emphasized the importance of EIB programs aimed at developing the private sector.

The interlocutors discussed the “Crossroads of Peace” initiative and opportunities to unblock regional communications.

About the EIB in Armenia

The EIB has been cooperating with Armenia since 2010 in accordance with the Eastern Partnership program of the European Neighborhood Policy and other bilateral agreements with the EU.

Over the past decade, the Bank has financed a range of projects, from infrastructure and small businesses to water supply and wastewater treatment services. The EIB also finances the construction of cross-border communications to improve road safety and sustainability.-0-
