The average exchange rate of the Armenian dram to the US dollar in January was 4.5% lower than a year ago

YEREVAN, February 9. /ARKA/. In January 2026, the average exchange rate of the Armenian dram to the US dollar was 380 drams, compared to 397.9 drams in January 2025. This is according to a report by the Statistical Committee (Armstat).

In January 2026, compared to December 2025, consumer price inflation was 2% and the exchange rate of the Armenian dram to the US dollar decreased by 0.4% (the dram appreciated).

In January of this year, compared to January of last year, a 3.8% increase in consumer prices was accompanied by a 4.5% decrease in the exchange rate of the Armenian dram to the US dollar.

During the same period last year, the republic recorded a 1.7% increase in consumer prices and a 1.7% decrease in the exchange rate of the Armenian dram against the US dollar.
