Net non-commercial remittances in Armenia accelerated to 11.7% in March – WB

YEREVAN, May 19. /ARKA/. Net non-commercial remittances in Armenia increased by 11.7% year-on-year in March, following a 5.2% year-on-year increase in February, according to the World Bank’s “Armenia Monthly Economic Update – May 2026.”

“This was primarily driven by a 17.5% year-on-year increase in net inflows from Russia, which accounted for 53% of total net inflows, as well as a 27% year-on-year increase in inflows from other countries,” the study states.

It also notes that net inflows from the United States increased slightly by 0.8% year-on-year, following a 74.5% year-on-year decline in the previous month.

According to the Central Bank of Armenia, in March 2026, the net inflow of non-commercial cross-border transfers in favor of individuals in Armenia, received from abroad through the RA banking system, amounted to $58.1 million, compared to $52 million in March 2025.
