World Bank predicts 1.5% economic growth in Armenia in 2010

YEREVAN, December 17. /ARKA/. The World Bank predicts 1.5% economic growth in Armenia in 2010, Aristomene Varoudakis, head of the WB Yerevan Office, said on Thursday.

He said that 2009 was a hard year for Armenia, but the country has managed to overcome the crisis and the economy is showing signs of recovery now.

Varoudakis said that the economy is recovering softly.

The World Bank also thinks that Armenia would record 16 to 17% economic decline and 5.5% inflation this year. -0–
