Armenian credit organizations’ total capital grows 29.2% to AMD 23.3 billion by late September

YEREVAN, December 21. /ARKA/. Armenian credit organizations’ total capital reached AMD 23.3 billion by late September after growing 29.2% or by AMD 5.3 billion since the beginning of this year.

ARKA News Agency’s analysis shows that National Mortgage Company is the leader among Armenian credit organizations for its AMD 5 billion capital.
The National Mortgage Company started functioning on June 16, 2009.

The company cooperates with ten banks and two credit organizations.

The company’s refinanced mortgage loans total AMD 2 billion, and their number is 300.

The National Mortgage Company’s share in Armenian credit organizations’ total capital is 21.44%.

Aregak (AMD 4.7 billion and 20.33% share), Norvik (AMD 2.6 billion and 10.95%), FINCA (AMD 1.94 billion and 8.33%), AGBA Leasing (AMD 1.86 billion and 7.97%) are singled out for their large capital.

Aregak has built up its capital 77.45% or by AMD 2.1 billion over these nine months, FINCA has enlarged its capital 61.33% or by AMD 737.4 million and Ecumenical Church Loan Fund 43.63% or by AMD 77.6 million.

The total net profit (after tax) of Armenian banks in Q1 2026 amounted to AMD 103.48 billion, compared to AMD 101.18 billion in Q1 2025, an increase of 2.27%. Moreover, compared to the previous quarter, Q4 2025, the increase was 5.84%.

Euro slashes against  Armenian dram

As of April 23, 2026, the average exchange rate for the US dollar to the Armenian dram, established in the Armenian foreign exchange market, has fallen by 0.55 points from April 22, now standing at 371.83 drams.
