Seven Armenian credit organizations among 1000 largest taxpayers

YEREVAN, February 1, /ARKA/. The 2009 list of 1000 largest Armenian companies included 7 credit organizations, which paid a total of 2.1 billion Drams to the budget. According to the State Revenue Committee, 78% or 1.6 billion Drams were paid as direct taxes.

Credit organizations accounted for 0.5% of all taxes collected in 2009 from 1000 largest Armenian companies.

The list includes Norvik (690.7 million AMD, 89-th position), Finca (516.6 million AMD, 123rd), Aregak (431.1 million AMD, 150-th position), ACBA Leasing (214.4 million AMD, 322), Express Credit (109. million AMD, 606), Malatia (70.9 million AMD, 851) and Bless (64.6 million, 905-th). The 1000 largest companies paid last year a total of 382.8 billion Drams. There are 27 credit organizations in Armenia. ($1 – 376.69 Drams). -0–

Central Bank of Armenia maintains the refinancing rate at 6.5%

At its meeting on Tuesday, the Central Bank's Board left the refinancing rate unchanged for the fourth consecutive time at 6.5%, the regulator's press service reported.
