Armenian commercial banks buy f $58.9 million at intra-bank forex market in one week

YEREVAN, April 23. /ARKA/. Armenian commercial banks bought a total of $58.9 million at intra-bank forex market in a time span between April 19-23 paying 392.35 Drams per one US Dollar, the Central Bank of Armenia said today. It said a total of $59.8 million were sold in the same time span at an exchange rate of 393.81 Drams per one $1.

It said the aggregate amount of deals effected at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange this week

totaled about $10 million. The deals were effected at an exchange rate of 390.78 Drams per one $1.

In the reporting period the volume of inter-bank forex deals amounted to $700,000 with an exchange rate of 393.03 Drams per one US Dollar. Besides, Armenian banks extended 12.9 billion Drams worth loans from April 12 to 18. The volume of loans extended in USD in the same time period was $26. 9 million. ($1 – 390.33 Drams).  -0-
