Sale of motor vehicles insurance polices can start October 18

YEREVAN, September 29, /ARKA/. A deputy governor of Armenia’s Central Bank said today sale of policies for mandatory insurance of motor vehicles may be launched October 18.

Speaking to reporters, Vache Gabrielian said the official website of the Bureau of Vehicles Insurance will post tomorrow draft proposals on the amounts of insurance payments and in a week the Bureau will ask the Central Bank to register the final versions of tariffs.

He said this work is very likely to be completed by October 15-16 and then insurance companies could start sale of insurance policies from October 18.

The law provides protection against losses incurred as a result of traffic accidents and against liability that could be incurred in an accident.. It is coming into force from January 1, 2011. -0-
