Armenia’s domestic trade turnover grows 4.5% to AMD 1000.2 billion in Jan-Aug 2010

YEREVAN, October 1. /ARKA/. Armenia’s domestic trade turnover totaled AMD 1000.2 billion in Jan-Aug 2010 (4.5% year-on-year growth), National Statistical Service of Armenia reports.

Retail trade amounted to AMD 641.5 billion or made up 64.1% of the total domestic trade after growing 0.3% in Jan-Aug 2010, compared with the same period a year before.

Wholesale trade amounted to AMD 320.3 billion and made up 32% of the domestic trade turnover.

Trade in shops amounted to AMD 400.6 billion and made up 62.4% of the retail trade, and trade in markets amounted to AMD 66.3 billion (10.3%). ($1 = AMD 361.31). -0-
