Assets of the companies implementing investment activity in Armenia, increased by 21% to 22.5 billion rams in the second quarter of 2011

YEREVAN, September 9. /ARKA/. Assets of the companies implementing investment activity in Armenia, increased by 21% or 3.9 billion drams in the second quarter of 2011 making 22.5 billion drams.

“Bulletin of Central Bank of Armenia” informs that in the second quarter of 2011 total capital of investment companies was about 3.8 billion drams providing increase of 8% in the second quarter.

Volume of selling and buying transactions with securities in the security market of Armenia increased by 3% in the second quarter of 2011 making 93.4 billion drams compared to the first quarter of 2011.

Volume of transactions with corporate bonds increased by over 4 times reaching 1.1 billion drams. Volume of selling and buying transactions of shares increased by over 2 times making 6.5 billion drams. Transactions by state bonds in the second quarter of 2011 reduced by 2% making 85.7 billion drams.

In the total volume of transactions in the securities market of Armenia the main share belongs to the state bonds – 91.8% of total securities. Transactions with corporate securities made 1.2% of total turnover and the shares – 7% .

As of June 30, 2011 in the securities market of Armenia 21 banks rendering investment services and 8 investment companies were operating. -0-
