In August average interest rates on deposits grow by 0.7 percentage point

YEREVAN, September 22. / ARKA /. The average interest rate on deposits in Armenian banks in August grew by 0.7 percentage point if compared with the previous month, to 8.2%, the official website of the Central Bank of Armenia says in a statement.

According to the statement, the average interest rate on short-term deposits in Armenian national currency, the dram, rose by 0.2 percentage point to 9.2%, The interest rate on short-term deposits in foreign currency increased by 1.2 percentage point to 5.9%.

The average interest rate on long-term deposits in drams increased by 0.3 percentage point to 10.4% and that on foreign currency deposits by 1.2% to 7.2%.  -0-
