Combined total assets of armenian insurance companies in 2011 grew by 23.2% from a year earlier

YEREVAN, March 21. /ARKA/. The combined total assets of Armenian insurance companies in the fourth quarter of 2011 grew by 23.2% from a year earlier to over 31.6 billion drams, according to an analysis made by ARKA news agency.
The largest company by size of total assets was Ingo-Armenia whose assets stood at 7.1 billion drams as of December 31, 2011 having increased by 71.1%. This company accounted for 22.8% of all combined total assets of all 8 insurance companies.
The top three included also Rosgosstrakh-Armenia with 6.5. billion drams of total assets, which grew by 26.2% from a year before. This company accounted for 20.4% of all total assets of all companies. Third was Nairi Insurance with 3.9 billion drams of total assets, which were 32.8% more  than in 2010.  It accounted for 12.4% of all assets of all companies.
Cascade Insurance’s total assets grew by 5.1% to 3.6 billion drams, Reso insurance company’s total assets slashed by 13.5% to 2.8 billion drams; Garant Limens’ assets grew by 20.6%. Rasko company posted a 12.% rise in total assets and Sil Insurance’s assets grew by 8.8%.  ($1 – 388.39 drams). -0-
