Overall liabilities of Armenian insurance companies surge by 19% in 2011

YEREVAN, March 22. /ARKA/. The overall liabilities of all eight Armenian insurance companies surged by 19% in 2011 as opposed to the previous year to 16.7 billion drams as of December 31 2011. According to an ARKA study, the leading company in terms of overall liabilities was Ingo-Armenia  whose liabilities doubled last year to 5 billion drams. This company accounted for 29.9% of the aggregate liabilities of all companies.

The list of top five leading companies by size of overall liabilities included also Rosgosstrakh- Armenia with 4.2  billion drams (25.1% of aggregate liabilities of all companies),  Nairi Insurance – about 2.1  billion drams (12.5%),  Cascade Insurance – over 1.9 billion drams (9.4%) and Reso – over 1.2 billion drams (7.1%). These five companies accounted for 86% of aggregate liabilities of all eight Armenian insurance companies. ($1 – 383.12 drams). -0-
