Armenian Central Bank voids Mega Pantera company’s two licenses

YEREVAN, June 15. /ARKA/. The board of the Central Bank of Armenia has voided two licenses of Mega Pantera company, the central bank’s press office reported on Friday.

The thing is that Mega Pantera and TelCell sealed an agreement in February to transit their terminals to a single software platform based on TelCell’s processing center.

The first license gave the company a right for clearing and processing activity, and the second license permitted it to operate money transfers.

According to the press release, the company’s 30 branches were taken off the books.
“The company is permitted to carry out only those types of money transfer operations which it carried out before termination of its license,” the regulator says.

The central bank says that the company can use its deposited funds kept in the bank only six months after the decision is made. -0–
