Interest rates on short term dram loans shrink by 0.3 p.p. to 16.9% in May

YEREVAN, June 27. /ARKA/. The average interest rate on short-term loans in Armenian drams dropped by 0.3 percentage points to 16.9%, % this May from a year earlier, the website of the Central Bank of Armenia says.

The average interest rate on short-term loans (in foreign currency or drams) is said to lose 0.5 p. p. appearing at 15,2% within the reported period

At the same time average interest rate on short-term deposits in drams fell by average 0.2 p.p. to 9,5% in May from a year earlier.

Average interest rate on short-term deposits (in drams and foreign currency) didn’t change confirming 7.2% within the reported period.

As of May 31 there are 21 commercial banks in Armenia. ($1 – 418.02 drams).—0–
