Deposits to Armenia’s banks up 3.7% to over AMD 1165 bln late September

YEREVAN, October 30. /ARKA/. The volume of deposits to Armenia’s commercial banks totaled in over 1 165 billion drams as of late September, 3.7 percent up from August, according to the data published Tuesday on Armenian Central Bank’s website.

AMD deposits rose 4.4% to nearly 341.9 billion drams month over month, whereas foreign currency deposits climbed 3.4% to over 823.2 billion drams as of late September.

Residents’ deposits made up about 95.1% of the total AMD deposits (325.1 billion drams). This percent almost didn’t change from August.

As of 30 September 2012, there are 21 commercial banks in Armenia. ($1 – 405.73 drams).—0-
