Idle assets of Armenia’s commercial banks total 4.42% in October

YEREVAN, December 17. /ARKA/. The share of idle and written off balances of banks assets of Armenia’s residents dropped 0.19 p.p. in October from September to 4.42%, the Central Bank said Monday.

The commerce accounted for the highest number of idle assets, nearly 0.99% (rise from September by 0.05 p.p.), consumer credits accounted for 0.71% (0.04 p.p. drop).

At the same time, processing industry accounted for 0.56% ( 0.37 p.p. down), construction – 0.48% (0.01 p.p. down), agriculture- 0.36% (0.12 p.p. up), mortgage- 0.35% (0.04 p.p. drop), catering – 0.28% (0.09 p.p. up), some other sectors- 0.27% (0.04 p.p. growth).

There are no idle assets in financial sphere.

The volume of the assets at Armenia’s commercial banks totaled 2345,7 billion drams as of 30 October 2012.

As of 30 October 2012 there are 21 commercial banks in Armenia. .($1 – 407.34 drams).—0–
