Foreign currency household deposits totaled 429.3bln drams in Armenia late November

YEREVAN, January 17. /ARKA/. Foreign currency household deposits in Armenian banks in amounted to 429.3bln drams as of the end of November 2012, the central bank of Armenia reports. It is an increase of 2.1% against the amount at the end of the month before.

Household time deposits in foreign currency exceeded 361.8bln drams and constituted about 84.3% of the overall foreign currency household deposits as of the end of November 2012 (a 2.3% increase against the end of October).

Dram deposits of Armenian households were about 185.4bln drams in the reporting period, which is a 4.7% increase against the last year level.

Total deposits in commercial banks amounted to over 1,202.2bln drams as of the end of November 2012, an increase of 2.2%.

There were 21 commercial banks registered in Armenia as of the end of November 2012. ($1=406.52drams). –0–
