Armenia’s commercial banks purchased over $67.1 mln last week

YEREVAN, February 25. /ARKA/. Armenian commercial banks purchased over $67.1 million at an average weighted rate of 406.42 drams per $1 from 18 to 22 February in intra-banking market of foreign currency, the press service of Armenia’s Central Bank reports on Monday.

At the same period, the banks obtained nearly 4.4 million euros and over 475.5 million rubles at average weighted rates of 540.12 drams per €1 and 13.37 drams per 1 ruble respectively.

The banks sold about $74.1 million, nearly €9 million and around 81 million rubles at average weighted rates of 407.51 drams, 543.19 drams and 13.55 drams respectively.

Moreover, from 11 to 17 February the volume of AMD loans provided by the Armenian banks totaled 34.4 billion drams, and USD loans- $51.6 million. ($1 – 407.49 drams).—
