Annual mortgage interest rates rose by 0.2pp to 12.2% in Armenia

YEREVAN, April 11. /ARKA/.  Average annual interest rates on mortgage rose by 0.2 percentage points up to 12.2% in Armenia in February as compared to the month before, says the website of the central bank.

Average interest rates in dram mortgages went 0.4pp up to 12.2% in the reporting month, whereas dollar mortgage percentage rates remained the same – 12.2%, according to the report.

Apart from this, average percentage rate in dram long-term loans grew by 0.65% to 16.9%, that in long-term loans in foreign currency dropped by 0.4p.p. to 13.2% in the period.

Short-term loans in drams were extended at a rate of 16.15% on average, as compared to 16.6% in January; average percentage rate for foreign currency loans was 13.2% in February against 13.05% in the month before. ($1=418.31drams). –0–
