Armenia’s monetary base fell by 7.8% to 659.2bln drams in June

YEREVAN, July 31. /ARKA/. Armenia’s monetary base dropped by 7.8% to about 659.2 billion drams in June against May, ArmStat reported based on the information from the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA).

Cash outside the CBA exceeded 404.2 billion drams by the end of June, as compared to over 404.3 billion drams in May.

Mandatory reserves in drams were over 147.6 billion drams as compared to over 190.1 bln at the end of May; those in foreign currency amounted to over 104.5 billion drams against over 116.3bln drams at the end of May.

Net international reserves (without privatization funds) totaled about 369.9 billion drams as of the end of June, a 7.4% reduction from May.

Net internal assets exceeded 289.2 billion drams in the reporting period compared to over 315.3 billion drams as of the end of May. ($1=409.90drams).–0–
