Armenian Commercial Banks’ aggregate overdue loan portfolio grows 2.9% in July to AMD 23.2 billion

YEREVAN, September 2. /ARKA/. Armenian commercial banks’ aggregate overdue loan portfolio reached AMD 23.2 billion and made up 1.38% of their loan portfolio by late July after growing 2.9% over one month, National Statistical Service of Armenia reports.

According to the statistical report, short-term loans totaled about AMD 22.9 billion and made up 98.5% of the overdue loan portfolio in July.

Prolonged loans grew 15.8% to about AMD 82 billion, of which short-term loans amounted to AMD 72.8 billion.

Banks’ credit investments totaled AMD 1 571.7 billion in late July after growing 0.02%, compared with June. Loans extended in foreign currencies amounted to about AMD 997.4 million.
