Deposits at Armenia’s commercial banks shrink 1.1% to AMD 1420.9 billion in July

YEREVAN, September 9. /ARKA/. Deposits at Armenia’s commercial banks totaled AMD 1420.9 billion in late July after shrinking 1.1% since late June, the Central Bank of Armenia reports.

Residents’ deposits amounted to AMD 1035.1 billion drams (1.5% month-on-month growth) and nonresidents’ deposits to 368.1 billion (8.1% decline).

According to the central bank’s figures, residents’ deposits in drams grew 1.5% in July, compared with June, to AMD 381.6 billion. Their deposits in foreign currencies grew 1.6% to AMD 653.5 billion.
