CIS statistical committee: 3.5% inflation in Armenia in Oct 2013, compared with Dec 2012

YEREVAN, December 5. /ARKA/. Inflation in Armenia was recorded at 3.5% in October 2013, compared with December 2012, the Statistical Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States reports.

Armenia is fourth in the CIS inflation ranking, and Belarus, with its 12-percent inflation is topping the ranking.

Russia recorded 5.3% inflation in October, Kazakhstan and Moldova 3.6%, Tajikistan 3.1%, Kyrgyzstan 2% and Azerbaijan 0.9%.

Turkmenistan accounted for 0.5% deflation in September 2013, compared with December 2012, and Ukraine for 0.2% deflation in October 2013, compared with December 2012.

No data on Uzbekistan is available.

According to the statistical report, in October compared with September, consumer prices in Armenia rose 0.3% as CIS countries’ average inflation stood at 0.6%.

Belarus was singled out in the report for the highest month-on-month increase in consumer prices – 1.9%.

In Moldova consumer prices rose 1.3%, in Azerbaijan 0.7%, in Russia 0.6%, in Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan 0.4% and in Tajikistan and Kazakhstan 0.3%. —0—-
