Commercial banks in Armenia report 18.5 percent rise in customer number as of 2013 November

YEREVAN, February 11. / ARKA /. In late November last year all 21 Armenia-based commercial banks had a total of 2,866,419 customers, an increase of 18.5 percent when compared to the same period in 2012, according to the National Statistical Service.

Of that number 76,485 were corporate clients, an increase of 5.6 percent from 2012 late November. The number of individual customers was said to have risen by 19.1 percent to 1,789,934.

At the end of November the commercial banks had 3,146,436 accounts, an increase of 64.25 %.
The number of individual accounts grew by 66.7 percent to 2,979,939. Corporate accounts increased by 30 percent from 2012 November to 166,497.

By the end of December 2013, the balance of individual deposits stood at about 790.2 billion drams, having increased over the month by 29.4 billion drams or 3.9 % when compared to the same period in 2012.  ($ 1 – 411.01 drams). -0 –
