Armenia’s commercial banks purchase about $83.1 mln at intra-banking forex market last week

YEREVAN, April 7. /ARKA/. Armenian commercial banks purchased about $83.1mln at a weighted average rate of 413.37drams per $1 in intra-banking foreign exchange market on March 31- April 4, the press service of the Central Bank reported.

In the same period, about 8.2mln euros and about 590.6mln rubles were purchased on the intra-banking forex market at weighted average exchange rates of 568.55 drams per €1 and 11.61 drams per ruble respectively.

At the same time, over $104.4mln, about €9.6mln and 106.1mln rubles were sold on the intra-banking forex market at weighted average exchange rates of 414.55drams, 572.20drams and 11.78drams respectively.

Dram loans extended by Armenian banks during the week before (March 24-30) totalled 32.6bln drams; dollar loans amounted to a total of $39.8mln. ($1=415.13drams).  –0
