1,297 ATMs in Armenia in late March 2014

YEREVAN, June 10. /ARKA/. The number of ATMs installed by commercial banks in Armenia reached 1,297 in late March 2014 after growing by 42 over a period between January and March 2014, the Central Bank of Armenia reports in its 1st Q 2014 bulletin.

The number of POS terminals rose by 155 over the quarter reaching 6,989 by late March.

According to the central bank, only 19 of the 21 commercial banks operating in Armenia provide plastic cards or serve them. These 19 banks are members of Armenian Card payment system. -0—-
