In late May non-performing assets of Armenian banks made 8.19 percent

YEREVAN, July 14. / ARKA /. In late May 2015 Armenian banks’ non-performing and written-off assets stood at 8.19%, having not changed from the previous month, the Central Bank said in a statement placed on its official website.

According to the Central Bank, 7.95% were assets held by Armenian residents. Consumer loans accounted for the highest percentage of non-performing assets -1.92%, while trade loans made 1.66% of the total share.

At the same time, agricultural loans accounted for 0.86% of non-performing assets, construction sector accounted for 0.85%, manufacturing industry for 0.80%, mortgage loans for 0.61%, food catering and entertainment sector for 0.43%.

At the end of May all 21 Armenian banks held 3.3 trillion drams worth assets. ($ 1 – 477.18 drams). -0-
