Armenia’s monetary base in July 2015 increases by 8% from June to about 883.3 billion drams- NSS

YEREVAN, August 31. / ARKA /. According to the latest data of the National Statistical Service (NSS), Armenia’s monetary base in July 2015 increased by 8% from June to about 883.3 billion drams.

Citing preliminary figures of the Central Bank, NSS said cash outside the regulator at the end of July stood at more than 397.5 billion drams, up from 375.1 billion drams in June.

Correspondent accounts in the national currency stood at about 13.1 billion drams, down from 315.4 billion drams at the end of June, while correspondent accounts in foreign currency were worth  the equivalent of about 170 billion drams, up from 123.8 billion drams in late June.

Net international reserves (without privatization funds) at the end of July 2015 amounted to more than 474.5 billion drams, a 12% rise when compared to June, while net domestic assets in the reporting period were worth approximately 408.8 billion drams, up from 394.4 billion drams at the end of June.
