Net non-commercial remittances in Armenia accelerated to 16% in April – WB

YEREVAN, June 24. /ARKA/. Net non-commercial remittances in Armenia increased by 16% year-on-year in April from a low base in 2025, according to the World Bank’s “Armenia Monthly Economic Update – June 2026.”

“Net inflows continued to come from Russia (up 31.8%) and other countries (up 46.1%), while net inflows from the United States decreased by 11.2%,” the study states.

According to the Central Bank of Armenia, in April 2026, the net inflow of non-commercial cross-border transfers to individuals in Armenia, received from abroad through the Armenian banking system, amounted to $70.9 million, compared to $61.2 million in April 2025.
