Transactions made by using Armenian banks’ plastic cards grow 8.2% to AMD 8.6 billion in August

YEREVAN, October 14. /ARKA/. Transactions made in August 2015 abroad by using all the types of plastic cards issued by Armenia’s commercial banks totaled AMD 8.6 billion – 8.2% more than in the previous month, the Central Bank of Armenia reports in a fresh issue of its monthly bulletin.
The number of transactions was 163,500 – a 3.6% month-on-month growth.

Noncash transactions amounted to AMD 7 billion showing a 9.9% month-on-month growth.
Cash withdrawals totaled AMD 1.64 billion in August against AMD 1.62 billion i July (1.8% growth).
Twenty one commercial banks in Armenia provided and serviced plastic cards as of late August. Nineteen of them are participants of ArCa national payment system. ($1 – AMD 474.38). —-0—-
