Over $77million bought by Armenian banks last week at local Forex market

YEREVAN, April 4. /ARKA/. From March 29 to April 2 all Armenia-based banks bought about $77.17 million at the local forex market at the average weighted exchange rate of 480.08 drams per $1, the Central Bank said.

In the same time span they bought also 6.593 million euros and about 873.839 million Russian rubles at the average weighted exchange rates of 540.40 and 7.02 drams respectively.

The banks also sold about $83.255 million, € 10.969 million and 462.614 million Russian rubles at the average weighted exchange rates of 481.95, 546.19 and 7.13 drams respectively.

Armenia’s banks lent 37.6 billion Armenian drams and 56.7 million US dollars over a period between March 26 and April 2. ($1– AMD 480.88). –0—
