Around $90.6 million bought by Armenian banks last week

YEREVAN, December 19. /ARKA/. Armenia’s commercial banks bought around $90.6 million from the local foreign currency market on December 12 to 16 at the average weighted exchange rate of 483.77 drams per one USD, the Central Bank of Armenia reported on Monday.

It said the banks also bought 9.7 million euros and 1 007.3 million Russian rubles at the average weighted exchange rates of 511.09 and 7.82 drams per one euro and one ruble respectively.

The banks also sold about $115.3 million, € 13.4 million and 354 million rubles at average weighted exchange rates of 485.64, 514.14 and 7.96 drams respectively.

In addition, from December 5 to 11, the banks provided 45.2 billion drams worth loans in the national currency and $91.5 million worth loans in USD. ($ 1- 484.17 drams). –0—-
