Armenian insurance companies paid over 2 billion drams in taxes in 2016

YEREVAN, February 1. /ARKA/. The list of Armenia’s 1000 largest corporate taxpayers in 2016 includes all six insurance companies, operating in the country, which paid about 2.09 billion drams in taxes, up from 1.77 billion drams they had paid in 2015, the State Revenue Committee said. Some 93% of that amount were direct taxes, the Committee said.

The leading insurance company by size of paid taxes was Rosgosstrakh Armenia -588 million drams. It was followed by Ingo-Armenia – 512 million drams, Nairi Insurance – 390 million drams, Sil Insurance – 224.1 million drams, Armenia Insurance – 210.3 million drams and Reso – 165.7 million drams.

Overall, the 1000 largest taxpayers paid more than 716.9 billion drams in taxes in 2016, by 2.8% more than in 2015. ($ 1 – 486.5 drams). .-0-
