Banks’ investments in government bonds in Armenia shrink 3.8% to AMD 388.4 billion in June

YEREVAN, August 14. /ARKA/. Banks’ investments in government bonds in Armenia totaled AMD 388.4 billion in late June after shrinking 3.8% over the month, the Central Bank of Armenia reports.

Non-banking entities’ investments in government bonds shrank 1.1% to AMD 76.6 billion, while the central bank’s investments grew 2.4 times to AMD 47.9 billion and non-banking agents and dealers invested nothing in government bonds.

Nonresidents’ investments in government bonds amounted to AMD 7.8 billion.

Aggregate investments in government bonds in Armenia totaled AMD 513.1 billion in late June showing a 2.3% month-on-month growth. ($1 – AMD 478.52). –0—-
