Ameriabank’s green bonds admitted to trading at Armenian Securities Exchange

YEREVAN, June 25, /ARKA/.  The green bonds issued by  Ameriabank CJSC in 2020 November were admitted to trading on the free market at the Armenian Securities  Exchange (AMX).

According to the press service of the exchange, the nominal amount of bonds is 42 million euros, the face  value of one bond is 1 million euros, the yield is 3.05%. The bonds were issued with a circulation period of 60 months, and coupon payments will be made on a semi-annual basis.

“Today in international markets there is a great demand for stable financial instruments, one of which is green bonds. Companies issue green bonds to diversify funding sources, as well as to finance green projects, “said Hayk Yeganyan, AMX General Director.

He highly appreciated the fact that Armenian enterprises have started issuing green bonds. “This is an important event that underlines the importance of the principles of sustainable development for the country’s economy,” Yeganyan said. – 0–
