Armenia-based banks paid about 41 billion drams in taxes in 9 months of 2021

YEREVAN, October 20. /ARKA/. All 17 Armenia-based commercial banks are in the list of 1000 largest corporate taxpayers in the first  9 months of 2021, having paid over 40.9 billion drams in various taxes, the State Revenue Committee (SRC) said today.

Of that amount some 40.7 billion drams were collected by the tax authorities and over 181.9 million drams by the customs authorities.

According to the State Revenue Committee, 15.1 billion drams were paid as profit tax, 19.9 billion drams as income tax, more than 2.1 billion drams as VAT and 3.8 billion drams as other taxes and duties.

Ameriabank paid 7.1 billion drams (15th in the list of 1000 largest taxpayers), ACBA bank paid more than 4.4 billion drams (25th), Inecobank – more than 4.2 billion drams (28th), Armbusinessbank paid about 3.5 billion drams (36th) and Armeconombank paid about 3.1 billion drams (43rd place).

The first hundred of the largest taxpayers includes also Ardshinbank – about 2.8 billion drams (53rd), VTB Bank (Armenia) – over 2.6 billion drams (58th), Armswissbank – about 2.4 billion. drams (61st), IDBank – over 2.03 billion drams (76th) and Converse Bank – over 1.8 billion drams (82nd)

Unibank paid over 1.63 billion drams (102nd), Araratbank – over 1.62 billion drams (104th), HSBC Bank Armenia – over 1.5 billion drams (108th), Byblos Bank Armenia – about 693.6 million drams (226th), Evocabank – about 642.6 million drams (245t), Mellat Bank – almost 556 million drams (293rd and Artsakhbank (central branch) – about 178.3 million drams (849th).

The Central Bank of Armenia paid about 1.3 billion drams.

Armenia’s one thousand largest corporate taxpayers paid more than 871 billion 241 million drams in various taxes in the first nine months of 2021, the State Revenue Committee (SRC) said.

According to the SRC, some 733 billion 143 million drams were collected by the tax authorities while more than 138 billion 98 million drams by the customs authorities.

The list is topped by the national natural gas distribution company Gazprom-Armenia, which paid more than 38.26 billion drams. It is followed by the Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine – about 38.25 billion drams and the Defense Ministry – 34.2 billion drams. ($1 – 477.34 drams) -0-
