Acba Bank names winners of competition ’Development of Organic Agriculture in 2022-2023’

YEREVAN, June 24, /ARKA/. The Acba Bank and Germany’s Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Union (NABU) have reviewed the results of a competition announced as part of a jointly implemented program “Development of Organic Agriculture in 2022-2023’, the press service of the bank reported.

It said the competition took into account applicants’ prospects for the export of certified organic products, growth of interest in the product, environmental impact of projects, short- and long-term goals of projects, motivations and risks.

This year, with the assistance of the program, 9 small and medium-sized business entities and individual entrepreneurs will receive certifications for their products.

The winners of the competition are:

1. Ani Asatryan (greenhouse industry)

2. Mkrtich Hovsepyan (beekeeping).

Leon Hakobyan (berry processing).

4. Hraat Simonyan (beekeeping)

5. Khoren Sukiasyan (tea and dried fruit production)

6. Haykaz Gasparyan (beekeeping)

7. Vazgen Manukyan (fertilizer production)

8. Grigor Avetisyan (strawberry growing)

9. Samvel Mirzakhanyan (beekeeping)

Acba Bank and NABU have been jointly implementing this program since 2015, which is aimed at stimulating the development of organic agriculture in Armenia and assisting local producers. -0
