IMF ready to participate in all current programs with Armenian Ministry of Finance

YEREVAN, September 27. /ARKA/. Armenian Finance Minister Tigran Khachatryan had a working meeting on Monday with a delegation led by the head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Mission in Armenia mission Iva Petrova, the ministry’s press service reported.

The meeting was attended by deputy finance ministers, IMF Resident Representative in Armenia Mehdi Raissi and economists of the mission.

Khachatryan presented the latest economic developments, the current tax policy and administration, as well as the execution of the state budget for 2022.

Petrova emphasized the partnership between IMF and the Ministry of Finance and reiterated the organization’s readiness to participate in all the ongoing programs.

The parties discussed a wide range of issues of mutual interest, in particular those related to the latest macroeconomic developments, capital expenditures and taxation policy.

At the end of the meeting, a number of agreements were reached to continue the discussion of current programs in a working format. -0-
