Pashinyan: outgoing year unprecedented for banks in terms of all indicators

YEREVAN, December 29, /ARKA/. Speaking at a reception organized on the occasion of the coming New Year and Christmas by the Central Bank of Armenia Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said the outgoing year was very complicated and controversial, full of challenges, but despite it the financial and banking system saw an unprecedented growths in all indicators.

He said the banks’ overall deposit portfolio stands now at 5 trillion drams, and there is also a very high rate of lending to the economy.

He said also that the outgoing year was also unprecedented in terms of profits of the banking system, which generated a profit of around 187 billion drams. -0-
