Unibank is the leading bank in Armenia by number of active loans

YEREVAN, June 7. /ARKA/. In the first quarter of 2023 Unibank was the leading bank in Armenia by the number of active loans.

“Consumer and business lending has always been one of the priorities of Unibank. Access to bank financing plays an important role in maintaining the pace of economic development, consumption dynamics and GDP growth,” the Bank’s press service said.

‘Full-scale lending increases the demand for goods, stimulating their production and sale, thereby contributing to economic growth of the country,’ the Bank said.

Using the services of the bank as a financial assistant, people have the opportunity to quickly solve the problem of money needed for education, health and other urgent needs, as well as for purchasing necessary goods. To make the lending process even more convenient for customers, Unibank has significantly expanded its partner network.

Customers can make installment purchases in more than 1,300 partner stores of the Bank and that will take only a few minutes. The loan approval is done by a system based on artificial intelligence, which excludes the human factor.

Unibank is also quite active in mortgage lending to make the purchase of real estate as accessible to customers as possible. This year the number and volume of mortgage loans provided by Unibank has almost tripled over the same period last year. At the primary market the bank offers mortgages in AMD with the annual interest rate of 10.9% and with a down payment of only 10%.

Unibank also continues paying attention to financing small and medium enterprises (SME).  In today’s environment, serious business development without a loan is virtually impossible. SMEs need accessible resources for capital investments, replenishment of working capital, acquisition of vehicles, modernization of production or covering current expenses. The credit funds ensure uninterrupted production and sales processes, increase efficiency and competitiveness of the enterprise.

Unibank offers business loans in Euros, starting at 5% per annum. The loan is given for a term of up to 5 years. There is also a grace period of up to 12 months, during which only the interest is paid.

To support small businesses, the Bank offers a business loan “Micro Express”, the main advantages of which are the automation of the approval process and the absence of collateral requirements.

To expand access to financial resources for the real sector, Unibank signed an agreement with the Ministry of Economy on cooperation in credit and financial leasing under the Economy Modernization Program. –0–
