In 2022, Armenia’s planned state budget deficit reduced by 6.5 billion drams – Finance Ministry

YEREVAN, June 12. /ARKA/.  Armenia’s  planned 2022  budget deficit reduced  by AMD 6.5 billion,  Finance Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan said on Monday at the sitting of the parliamentary standing committee on financial-credit and budgetary issues

During a discussion of the 2022 state budget execution report, he noted that at the beginning of last year, revenues were projected to be in the range of 1.9 trillion drams, but the figure rose by 110 billion drams over the year.

“It amounted to 5.1% of GDP. At the same time, planned expenditures amounted to 2.2 trillion drams, increasing by 103 billion drams. As a result, the planned deficit decreased by 6.5 billion drams,” Hovhannisyan said.

In the context of 110 billion drams increase in revenues, he said 81 billion drams were tax revenues and 51 billion drams other revenues.

Official subsidies decreased by 21.9bln drams. There was also a decrease in the customs duty due to the reduction of imports in the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union. ($1 – 387.04 drams) -0-.
