Deflation of 0.5% registered in Armenia in November on an annualized basis

YEREVAN, December 5. /ARKA/. Consumer prices in Armenia in November 2023 were down 0.5% as opposed to November 2022, but compared to October 2023 they were up 0.5%. according to the numbers, released by the National Statistical Committee (NSC).

At the same time, prices increased by 2.2% for January-November 2023 compared to the same period in 2022.

Armenian government’s growth projection for 2023 is 7%. Inflation is envisioned at 4% (±1.5%). Economic activity grew by 9.2% year-on-year in the first 10 months. According to the Central Bank’s September forecast, Armenia’s economy will grow by 7.2% this year and the 12-month inflation will be around 0% -0-
