Armenian Central Bank’s initiative on crypto-assets may reach parliament in 2024

YEREVAN, December 13. /ARKA/. The Central Bank of Armenia’s initiative to develop a model for regulation and control of crypto-assets will go through stages of discussion next year before being brought to the floor in parliament,  the head of the regulator Martin Galstyan said to ARKA news agency on Tuesday.

He added that the Central Bank has initiated measures to develop and implement an effective model of comprehensive regulation and control of virtual assets.

Galstyan stated earlier that  this initiative was based on the best global experience. Regulation will allow for an adequate response to existing and potential risks in the virtual asset sector, while creating a clear legal framework for the development of innovation and technology in the virtual asset sector. -0-
