Volume of insurance premiums in Armenia in 2023 amounted to AMD 73.2 billion

YEREVAN, March 11. /ARKA/. The volume of insurance premiums in Armenia in 2023 amounted to about 73.3 billion drams, up from 62.3 billion drams in 2022, according to. the National Statistical Committee.

Out of the total volume of insurance premiums last year, personal insurance accounted for 24.9 billion drams, property insurance – for 16.9 billion drams, liability insurance – for about 2 billion drams, compulsory insurance of liability arising from the use of land motor vehicles – for 27.2 billion drams, other types – for about 2.4 bllion drams.

The volume of insurance payments during the reporting period amounted to about 37.4 billion drams, up from  29.3 billion drams in 2022.  

Out of this volume, 14.1 bllion drams are were paid as personal insurance, 5,2 billion drams – as property insurance, 48.7 million drams – as liability insurance, 17.7 billion drams – as compulsory insurance of liability arising from the use of land motor vehicles. 490.1 million drams were paid  for other types of insurance.

There are 8 insurance companies operating in Armenia. ($1 – 403.71 drams) -0-.
