Armenia plans to ensure over $8,500 GDP per capita in 2025 – Papoyan

YEREVAN, March 17. /ARKA/. Armenia plans to ensure the size of GDP per capita more than $8,500 by the end of 2025, Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan said.

“This is already a rather big indicator, which in the context of the last 7-8 years will record more than twofold growth,” Papoyan noted at the session of the parliamentary committee on regional and Eurasian integration on Monday.

According to the National Statistical Committee, by the end of 2024, GDP per capita in market prices amounted to AMD 3,338,443, which corresponds to 8,501 U.S. dollars or 7,857 euros.

Overall, the nominal volume of the  GDP in current prices in 2024 amounted to 10,127,165.9 million drams (5.9% growth by 2023). ($1 – 392.34 drams).
