YEREVAN, October 1. /ARKA/. Effective January 1, 2026, the cashback rate for pensioners and benefit recipients on cashless transactions for purchases and housing and utility services will rise to 20%, up from the current 12%, as announced by Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Arsen Torosyan.

“Consequently, pensions will see an increase of approximately 3,000-3,500 drams. Our citizens will have the opportunity to enhance their pensions and benefits through cashless payments,” Torosyan stated during a government Q&A session in parliament.

The cashback initiative for pensioners and benefit recipients in Armenia has been operational since July 1, 2022.

Initially, participants received a 10% cashback on their monthly expenditures (capped at 5,000 drams per month); this was later raised to 12% (with a maximum of 6,000 drams). The cashback amount is disbursed by the 25th of the subsequent month.
